"Por siglos los artistas han creído que sus acciones pueden mejorar el mundo y acercarlo a la perfección. Sin embargo, aquellos que lideran las guerras y cruzadas no les interesa las miradas de los artistas. En realidad, no tenemos opción - estamos siempre de algún lado del conflicto. La muerte de una persona es la pérdida de una cultura humana individual. Como pueblo, nos sentimos particularmente vulnerables frente a la muerte de un niño. Cada muerte inmerecida es una pérdida de esperanza por un mundo mejor.
Mi obra presenta tres rostros de niños. En este caso, el pasado y el presente parecen iguales. Es la PAX desde el fondo del corazón."
"For centuries artists have always believed that their actions can make the world better and closer to perfect. However, those who lead the wars and crusades do not care about the artists’ views. We are, in fact, never given a choice - we are always on one of the conflict’s sides. One person’s death is a loss of an individual human culture. As people, we feel particularly helpless confronted by a child’s death. Each undeserved death is a loss of hope for a better world.
My works present three heads of children. In this case the past and the presence seem similar. It is the PAX from the bottom of the heart."
